HEAVENIZING EARTH: "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on EARTH as it is in heaven..."
Christian mission is about doing what you can to effect God's will on earth. The Lord's Prayer (or Our Father) entreats God to bring His kingdom to bear on earth and to cause His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Ancient Celtic believers called that "heavenizing earth." Heavenizing earth is what Christian mission is all about.

Proclaiming the Kingdom of God among Animists and Secularists
An article from Missiology.org argues that our Western concept of mission is truncated and individualistic to the point that it fails to represent true mission and is hampered in its attempts to reach people who see the world differently than we do. “Western Christianity stresses very strongly the autonomy and dignity of the individual. The individual is considered more important than the group....Such intense individualism is foreign to most animistic peoples."
